Rain always makes you ponder over things... While I sit back comfortably writing this blog post on my iPad...I miss the time that has gone by. Its so strange because as a kid I always wanted to grow up and do the things I was not allowed to do back then.I used to think being an adult was amazing, so much so that I constantly reminded myself that it was only a few more years left for me to be an adult. Little did I know that it was the worst idea ever, Growing up is a very bad idea. PERIOD. Today I am at my desired age and all I want to do is go back in time. I want to Go back to the 90's because I feel that was the best time to be.We are from a generation that has had best of both the worlds. I want to go down memory lane and remember all the things that still brings a smile on my face

1. The sitcoms like Hum Paanch, Hip Hip Hurray, Dekh Bhai Dekh, Jungle Book or watching
Mahabharata and Ramayana with the entire family was the best thing to have happened to Telly tube.

Mahabharata and Ramayana with the entire family was the best thing to have happened to Telly tube.
2. Relationships were so much easier to sort out. We could find out who loved us or who were our worst enemies merely from taking out flames with that particular person. That was the only compatibility test that one had to surpass.

4. Toblerone was the one chocolate that was considered to be "International" and remember the box of assorted chocolates our relatives from abroad got us.

6.Even the adverts were so familiar to us that we did not mind humming to the tunes of Vicco Bajradanti, Or Doodh si safedi Nirma se aaye, and Thanda literally meant Coca- Cola.
7. Buying a packet of Lays merely to collect the tazos and showing it off in front of our friends was the mandatory thing to do.
8. Covering your books and notebooks with the brown paper before the commencement of the new
session was so tiresome yet so satisfying.

session was so tiresome yet so satisfying.
9.Playing Mario well and killing that dragon and saving the princess was our measure of testing someone's capibility.
10. Playing Ludo,Akkar Bakkar Bambey Bo,Antakshari,Hop-scotch,Name Place Animal Thing and Carrom were the only team games we knew

11.Printers were not so common and all our school projects pictures were from the cut outs of the chart papers.
12. The First tattoo ever embarked on us was from the back print of that of the Fusen Gum Chewing gum.
13. Officially using the pen was a big deal. It meant Serious Business.

14. We had a stack of cassettes with Side A and Side B of our favorite songs. The recording feature on our tape recorder always kept us in awe.Using the Walkman with our headphones on was our "Me-Time"

15. Flying was only for the richie rich. The mode of transport familiar to us was the Train Journeys and we were even made to write an essay on that.
16. A particular time at night was alloted to talk to our relatives as the STD rates were lower at that time.We have all visited a PCO to make a phone call.
18. We used to beg our relatives to change the batteries on our game boy so we could play Tetris or Snake.

19. Candies like Poppins, Hajmola ,choki,Nutties ,Amul Chocolate ,Pan Pasand were some of the sweetest treats.
20. Wearing Keds to school and coloring it with chalk to make it appear whiter so that we wouldn't be punished later.
21. Owning a Pencil Box that was the coolest made you feel superior. And how can we forget the all in one multicolored pens and the fancy erasers.
22. Using the rim of the stairs as a slide so that you reach faster than the person coming down of it.
23. Buying Ice Candies on our way back home from school quenched our thirst,or eating a bar of chocolate bar or an orange stick and sucking it till it became one large cube of ice.
Don't you agree with me 90's was the best time to be just writing this brought a smile on my face only if time travel was as easy as the rewind button.
I can't believe I actually wanted to grow up...
